  • Sony Vegas 8.1 won’t render. error message comes up

Hi, I have Vegsa 8.1, and when I try rendering a project, it errors out and says that there isn’t enough memory. To close other programs and try again. Can anyone help?

I am running Windows 7 64bit and 8.1 is supposed to be compatible

Actually no. Vegas Pro 8.1 came out before Windows 7 and is only “officially” compatible with Vista. It also has it’s share of bugs. I personally, wouldn’t use it for production work. It’s more of a “technology preview”. You should upgrade to Vegas Pro 10 if you want to run in Windows 7 64-bit. If not, try using Vegas Pro 8.0c which is newer than 8.1.

Ohhh ok wonderful, I’ll definitely try 8.0c. Do you know if I’ll have to reinstall the newblue fx again? Because when I went from 8.0a to 8.1, the newblue fx weren’t compatible with the ones I had used in my project so I had to do them all over again

Yea, 8.0c is 32-bit and 8.1 it 64-bit so they require different plug-ins. I don’t know if NewBlueFX installs both versions by default but if they don’t you’ll have to install the 32-bit versions.
