I have finished my project in sony vegas and would like to render it however,

At the start of my project i have left a big gap at the start of the video now i want to move my current project across the time line, so i don’t have the gap at the start of the video, how can i do this?
    any help would be great.

You don’t have to move anything. Simply position the time line cursor at the beginning of the first “event” or clip. Type an “I” with the keyboard. Then, position the time line cursor at the end of your video. Type an “O”.

When you render, check the box to render the loop region.

Or you can turn on auto ripple (icon at top of time line)then highlight the empty area and push delete. Space will be gone and rest of track will move over. Remember to turn off the auto ripple after you have made the move.

    OR

You can do select all and then drag the first clip over to the left side of the space. The entire timeline will effectively be grouped temporarily and come over with it.
