Sony Vegas 720p video file gets cut off / cropped when opened?
Hi, I just started using Sony Vegas 10 recently. At first I was using it to render my 480p Xbox 360 gameplay videos, but now I started recording in 720p. It was fine when I opened the 480p files but now when I open the 720p files, the video gets cut off and only the top left part of the video is shown in the preview. I thought that it was just the preview that was the problem so i rendered it to see if it would turn out normally. However, the rendered video was still cut off. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Make sure your project properties match the footage you are using.

Right-click the preview window and make sure that you have Scale Video to Fit Preview Window checked.
