Sony Vegas 7 and XDCam HD
I just downloaded the trial version of Sony Vegas 7 to take a closer look at the XDCam HD support. Keeping in mind I don’t have any XDCam equipment connected, I tried to simulate exporting to XDCam HD.
Everything seems fine. I selected HD 1080i in the Export to XDCam dialog box. What concerns me is in the Description window, it clearly states 25Mbps. I need to export at 35 Mbps (or as Sony calls it MPEG HD – HQ) The promo literature indicates Vegas can do this – so why is it not available in the option selection?
Any help would be appreciated.

There’s isn’t a canned rendering template for this, but 35mbs (and other flavors) are available in the custom settings dialog.

I found the setting in the video tab. I am so relieved to finally have a 35Mbps solution for XDCam HD.
