Sony Vegas
Hey, folks. I’m trying to conform & color a short film cut on Vegas, and nothing is going right with the conform. The editor cut with the camera files directly (r3d) and sent me an XML, but most of it is not linking up at all and the shots that do link up are coming in at the wrong time inside of the shot.
Is there a trick to the Vegas-Resolve workflow I’m missing? I’ve tried importing XMLs, an EDL and a data AAF.
At this point I think I’m going to try importing the XML into Premiere and then exporting a new XML from it, as the workflow with that program has never caused me problems.

So I have the film up in Premiere, linked to the r3d files. I export an XML but when I import that into Resolve it’s just a blank timeline. I have literally never used Premiere before today (other than 12+ years ago back in college, when Media 100 was the preferred NLE). Am I missing something about the XML export procedure?
