    So, I just started getting into lyric videos. And there’s this effect that I see in almost every big budget lyric video. It seems that in most lyric videos, there is a lot of keyframing, which I understand. However, somehow, some artists are able to seemingly syncopate the keyframing of the background to the keyframing of the text. If you look at the video I embedded below, you’ll see what I mean. When the background moves, so does the text. HOW CAN I DO THAT IN VEGAS?

    Parent Motion. You add one additional track at the top of your timeline and you press the Make Child Composite button to make the text and background a child of that track. Then you use Parent Motion to move the parent track you just added and the child tracks will move along with it.
