Sony Vegas 11 Display Drive has stopped working.

Hi, I’m not new to Sony Vegas but I recently got a new PC and whenever I try to render files that have “FRAPS” videos, it crashes about 5-20% into the render.

It’s weird because If I have a video with 5 30 second clips and try to render it will 90% fail and go to a black screen for 2 seconds then give me the “Display Driver has stopped working”. But if I open up 5 sony vegas’ and put one of each of the clips in by themselves. They render just fine.

I also use a Huappage HDPVR for xbox and I’ve never had problems with that, when I record with that and render it works fine.

    Windows 7 Professional
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10 GHz (4 CPU’s)
    4GB RAM
    DirectX 11

    any help would be appreciated.

Well after about 4 hours of rendering fails and testing it seems that I had to change my “set up” render settings to the default one.

Well then, Seems the problem was with your render settings had a
    conflict with your timeline/footage settings.

Well, I thought I fixed it but the default setup was in a different aspect ration. Youtube is 1280×720 and the default setup is 1440×1080. When I render in 1440×1080 the video is a bit stretched on youtube. But when I render in 1080×720 I get the black screen and error message…

I’m back to square 1 again.
