The majority of the project is using camera 1.

I am a “Noob” and It would be really nice if we go through this problem step by step.

    Question 1:
How do i accurately crop camera 2 to the correct size?

If anyone has seen this question answered elsewhere please post a link.

Thanks if anyone can help. J.

I mix 1920 and 1080 footage all the time in vegas. They are the same aspect ratio. No need to crop

As Brad said, 1920×1080 PAR 1.0 is the same size and aspect as 1440×1080 PAR 1.3333. If you multiply 1440 by 1.3333 you get 1920! No worries. Set your project properties up for 1920×1080 and everything will be fine.

    Thanks Brad & John!

    Question 2:

For maximum quality, for the given files, what settings would i use for properties and rendering? (rendering to .MP4)

Brad, maybe you could post some screen-shots of your settings?

This forum is my temple of wisdom.

[jacob newburn] “For maximum quality, for the given files, what settings would i use for properties and rendering? (rendering to .MP4)”

For Vegas Pro 12.0 use MainConcept AVC with the HD Internet 1080-25p template. That will produce high quality MP4 files.

    Thanks John.

So, for rendering if i use Vegas 12 and start with the “MainConcept AVC with the HD Internet 1080-25p template”, what changes should i make for my files?

And what settings would use for the Properties?

    Nice One, J.

None. Why would you make changes? That’s the template that the Sony developers have created for Internet HD delivery.

[jacob newburn] “And what settings would use for the Properties?”

Project properties? I would use HD 1080-50i (1920×1080, 25.000 fps).
