Sony PXW-z150 records maximum clips 600(count) only memory full
Dear Sir,
I am using Sony pxw-z150 4k video camera for weddings, in that I am using with Lexar SDXC 128gb memory card.
while recording time maximum 600 clips only recorded but still memory available.format type XAVCHD 1920 x 1080 P 50 fps
For example
I am using 128 gb SDXC card while recording time maximum 600 times recording button press(clips recorded)
52gb taken for 600 clips(MXF formate)XAVCHD 50 Fps
remaining 76gb available but camera shows memory full.
what is the reason?I Hope all professionals understand my manageable English but kindly under stand my problem give me better solution

no experience with that camera, but I do remember reading somewhere there was a limit to the number of clips you could record on a card.
600 would strike me as using the camera as a stills camera, rather than video. i would suggest that you perhaps change your shooting style to ease your workflow. no criticism intended.

as an afterthought, are you sure the camera can handle 128gb cards? i know my ex1 maxes out at either 32gb or 64gb – I only ever shoot max 32gb anyway, and that’s enough to lose in one hit ;-(.

Dear Sir,
In Sony website they mentioned 128 GB cards also useful,
If possible please send a mail about this problem to Sony XDCAM making(assembling) unit.Thanks and Regards

just looked at the specs for the 150 – only mentions 64gb card NOT 128gb.
i would think you be better off shooting 32 or 64gb and changing cards rather than risk the whole shoot on one card alone…

I’m using the baby brother of the z150, the x70 which was released before it. I’m using a 512GB card with no issue. The camera uses the same codecs and data rate of the z150. Previous to the I was using a 128GB card without any issues but needed longer record times.

I have encountered on the pwz-x70 the same issue. Still lots of memory left but error message after 600 video clips. I did not try with photos though and do not know if the same limit applies. This is an annoying limitation.
