    Sony PMW EX3 large file splitting

    Hi there

    Really hoping i can get some help.
    I am shooting on a PMW EX3
    Onto SxS cards
    Editing in Premiere Pro cs4

    On large shots over about 30/40 mins the files are being broken in to sub files. How do i stop it from doing this? and also how do i put them back together as Premiere Pro does not seem to be able to deal with it.

    This is normal as EX utilizes the Fat32 file system which has a 4 GB file size limit (more like 12-15 mins). Newer versions of Premiere allow you to import these ‘spanned’ clips as single files using the Media Browser. If you use File–>Import you can only get the <4gb portions.
