    Hello Владимир Баканов.

In SD mode (NTSC) the EX1 R gives you a choice of:

    60i SQ (16:9 ratio)
    60i EC (4:3 ratio)

    30p SQ (16:9 ratio)
    30p EC (4:3 ratio)

There are corresponding formats in PAL (50i and 25p)

According to the manual, SQ means Squeeze and EC means Edge Crop.

Now you know as much as I do on this.

    Where is showing 768×576?
Import a clip to FC and look the size in the Browser.

I know this is an old thread, but you helped me figure something out on my EX1R, I was looking for how to do squeeze and crop, your answer was perfect for me.

    Cheers!
