  • Sony PMW EX-1 v1.03 to v1.11 error

Posted by Daniel Fer on September 25, 2016 at 6:25 pm

i wanted to upgrade my sony pmw ex 1 to 1.11 and it upgraded with success, but somehow it showed me two error codes in the display E-17003 and E-15030. Everything was slow and buged somehow. Then i wanted to upgrade to v1.20 TO fix this problem ..Sadly it showed me an ”INstallation failed” and yes now my EX-1 turns sometimes on after 4 minutes? nothing works fine. But it still connects with the Computer. I used Windows Vista. I want to go back to v1.03 but i dont have the firmware. Is it the correct way? I even want to try it on Windows XP. i need first of all v1.03..

i had my ex1 done by a tech who pointed out that it was not advisable to ‘jump’ an upgrade but to do each in sequence and then test camera each time.

    hope you get it sorted

all i can suggest is to take it to a competent tech – i know doing these sort of updates appears simple but quite frankly for the few dollars it costs it’s worth having someone else having to pull their hair out, and return to if there’s a problem later.
