Just bought Sony PMW-200 and did some test shoot with the 4 channels audio. But when I imported the files into Premiere Pro CS6, only one Channel (Ch.1) shows on one audio track. Whatever I changed the preference and setting, can only find 1 Ch.

And I tested the files on my friend’s computer, who uses Sony Vegas Pro 12, all 4 channels show up on 4 tracks.

Can anyone tell me what should I do in order to work with all 4 audio channels in Premiere Pro, cause I don’t use Vegas.

I’m guessing since you said ‘4 channels’ that you are working in FAT (EX/.mp4) mode? I don’t see this on any of my systems here. What format/frame rate are you using and when you import is it via the Media Browser or File–>Import?

My bad, I only copied the video files (EX/MP4) to my hard drive, and imported them in to Premiere Pro CS6, only got Ch. 1 of the audio.

Now I tried to copy the whole BPAV folder to my hard drive in a new named folder, and import this new folder into Premiere Pro CS6… now I got 4 Ch. audio.

Also it’s easy to browser and Ingest the folder in Adobe Prelude CS6.

    Thanks for helping!
