Sony licenses the format from the XDCAM EX to JVC

Thanks for spotting that news. That would be a great choice for JVC. So far that’s the first real update that I have read about JVC staying current with all the latest compression wars. Interesting they chose the XD EX for a codec… I hope they use or create a better method of storage over sony’s SxS cards. How about a something that works with compact flash cards… chuckle chuckle.
