  Sony HDW750 capturing

  I am working on a government project and have about 20 hours of 24p footage shot and captured using the Panasonic Varicam. Great camera!

  My next shoot is classified so I have to use government cameras. All they have is a Sony HDW750. I have a dual 2.5GHz G5 and a FireWire 800 GB drive for the project. Questions…

  1. How do I capture Sony HDW750 footage? I have a brand new AJA Kona 2 card if that is a solution. Never used it with this type of footage. Never used a Sony HD cam either.

  2. Is it possible or smart to capture and convert the footage to DVCPROHD CODEC at 24p?

  3. What settings should the camera be on to get the footage as close as possible to the Varicam? 50i?
