Sony HD HVR 1000 / Sony HVR-A1E Mastering to Tape (CS4)
My first post here so do please be gentle .
I would like to export a sequence to Mini DV tape on my Sony HD HVR 1000P camera via my firewire connection – I have done this before using CS4 with no problems, but I am on a different computer to usual at the moment and I am wondering if I have a setting wrong, perhaps some light can be shed.
I have followed all of the instructions for exporting to DV tape on the Premiere Pro Help pages and have successfully followed ‘Prepare for exporting to DV videotape’. (DV 25i (720 x 576))
Unfortunately, though I can capture from tape to the computer with no problems, and device control is clearly working as I can stop start and rewind etc. via Premiere Pro [device control is available, device is ‘online’], a blank recording is made each time I attempt to master this sequence to tape.
Any help would be massively appreciated as I have spent a significant amount of time looking for answers and am really getting to the point of desperation now!
Note: I have also tried this with my Sony HVR-A1E, with exactly the same result, so I am becoming increasingly sure that I have missed a setting – help much appreciated.

Are the cams set for DV? What operating system does the computer you currently using have? Does Ppro on the computer you are using have all its updates?
