Sony FX3 HDMI output is always cropped?
This can’t be right…
All output over HDMI to my monitors and external recorders is cropped by almost a full inch (see image).
This problem can be fixed by going to External output -> HDMI output settings and toggling “Record Media during HDMI output” and changing that setting to OFF.
So, now the full frame output comes back, but it turns off recording to the internal device.
How are we supposed to use our external monitors effectively and still record to internal memory cards, if the camera is only going to put out a cropped tiny picture when internal recording is enabled???
This is crazy…

Solved this by the way… needed to turn off “HDMI Info display”.
