    Hi all,

I’ve recently got a Sony EX3, my first ‘propper’ camera.

I’ve just made a short clip that I want to test in my editor of choice: Premiere Pro CS3.

Using the Sony Clip Browser, I transferred the clip to my PC – but the only file out of all of them that Premiere seems to recognise is the MP4 file, which, when imported into Premiere, comes without any sound(???)

I’ve tried ‘exporting’ the clip to an ‘MXF’ file (which I’ve never heard of before today) but that isn’t recognised by Premiere either.

Can anyone help a poor newbie out?

    Thanks,
    TX.

I believe you need an update for CS3 to work with the EX codec.

    Good Luck

You need CS 3,2 Choose “Import” and then “import folder” – do not try to import a file. Import the BPAV folder or the folder that contains it. Then it should work.
