  Sony EX1 and Modul8 – iLink HDV connecting to a macbook pro

  Hi all,

  I’m trying to link up my EX1 to my Macbook Pro to use with the VJ software Modul8.

  Everything I’ve read suggests I can do this but I still need help to make it happen.

  I’ve set the camera to 1080/50i sp, I’ve enabled the iLink, connected the camera with a firewire cable from the HDV output under the headphone jack. However, the mac can’t pick up the camera in either Modul8 or even in FCP7.

  Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
  Let me know if you need more info than I’ve given.
