Sony EX-1 Workflow
I was wondering what do you need to edit sony ex-1 footage? Will a simple G5 mac do the trick? I heard something about sony software has to be downloaded to view the footage, but would I need an HD card as well? and how would I get the footage off the sxs card and onto the mac? any help would surely be appreciated. Thanks!

You need my DVD brother. 🙂 All of the software you need comes with the camera. Or can be downloaded from Sony’s Microsite:
You don’t need an HD card, unless you want to monitor your edit in real-time on an HD display. In which case an AJA Kona would be handy. The transfer itself can be done with a MacBook Pro or with an ExpressCard reader.
