    Looking to purchase one of these units. Any insight as to which one is a better unit would be greatly appreciated. Pro’s con’s etc.

    The ONLY deck you should consider is the DSR-11. It is a workhorse. It will last you a long time.

    I’ve owned both Panasonic and Sony decks over the years. The Sony transport mechanisms seem much more durable, especially in all the curent models. The Panasonic DV 2500 feels cheap in comparison to the Sony.
