I am trying the import media that was transferred from SD card on the FS100U to my Desktop harddrive. The shooter needed me to back it up because he only had one card and needed to format the card and continue shooting. I copied all the media (all the files and folders) from the card onto a folder on my desktop and then checked to make sure it was all there then gave him back the camera and card. I then downloaded a software called folder drivers so I could make the folder look like an external drive being mounted so the Sony CMU software could read it. It does not seem to be able to. Does anyone have any solution for importing in clips using the CMU with files transferred on to an internal HD? Why does sony have to make everything is damn difficult.

Try copying all those files to a flash drive. Then try the CMU. Maybe the CMU will recognize the external flash as a drive and work.
