sony vegas pro 10 build a… Camera footage from canon t2i rendering settings sony avc 1080/24fps .mp4 . project is music video. i have been using these setting successfully for over 130 music videos. now youtube is saying it will take 1300 minutes to upload due to the .mp4 container not being .264 out of final cut or imovie. what do i do ? what is the best solution for this. if sony vegas doesnt offer a youtube friendly .mp4 whats my best bet for .avi to retain best quality…Help !

[Eric Seeram] ” if sony vegas doesnt offer a youtube friendly .mp4 whats my best bet for .avi to retain best quality.”

You should be asking YouTube why the same format that worked 130 times before no longer works. This is not a Sony problem… it’s a YouTube problem. The H.264 video you have been producing all along cannot simply not be H.264 anymore just because YouTube says so.

Try MainConcept AVC. That’s also H.264. Since you mentioned Final Cut and iMovie in your post, try renaming the Sony mp4 file to .mov and see if that makes YouTube happy. There is nothing on the YouTube web site that talks about new format requirements.

You can also try making a QuickTime template for MJPEG which should yield very good results.
