Has anyone out there been able to get Sony Vegas 8.0b to work on a 64 bit Vista OS?? I have all the Sony apps installed (they install in the x84 programs/applications folder, not the 64 bit Programs/Apps folder) and the only application that chokes and won’t load is Vegas. I know Sony has a 64 bit disclaimer, but all the other apps are working very well on the new Gateway. Sound Forge, DVD architect, Acid, and Cinescore all load and work fine, as does the entire Adobe CS3 suite, including Audition 3. It seems the only thing that is hosed if Vegas…

no problem my side. vista64 business. Initial teething issue was DVDA requiring exclusion from DEP, which I solved through trial and error.

just did a vista reinstall becos of some grief with Office 2003 & 2007 (known problem with no known solution) and this time DVDA didn’t give any hiccups. Was a format and reinstall, and all running smoothly, incl the Office suites, from the outset.

FWIW, I have AE CS3, Bridge, Vegas & DVDA, Office 2003 & 2007, Nero, VLC, Celtx, eSword & Spybot installed, IIRC. No antivirus.

Am not using Media Manager, if that’s relevant.

I DID get a warning message when installing Media Mangler, that may be the problem….

also, MM requires .net to be installed, IIRC. Can’t remember which, version 1, 2 or 3.

I simply turned it off in preferences.
