Song files skip on import to FCP
This never seemed to be an issue before, but a majority of the songs (mp3) I import into FCP skip when I play them in the Preview Window or drop into the Timeline. Do I need to convert the mp3 files into a different format? Best options for this? I’m confused b/c some music files seem to work fine while others have problems. I’m on a dual G5 with plenty of RAM.
Ideas?

Convert your mp3s to 16bit 48khz Stereo AIFF format using Quicktime. That will cure your skipping.
