    Hello Everyone!

I am importing P2 files from a Seagate FreeAgent Go into Final Cut Pro 6. I go to “Log and Transfer” and open up the camera folder that I need to transfer, but it seems like only some of the clips show up in the selection pane. To give you a further example, I will see a clip titled 0001FB.mxf in the video folder on the Seagate, but it will not show up in the selection pane to transfer to FCP.

    Thanks so much in advanced!

Do you see a similar file in the CLIP folder?

Is your CONTENTS folder intact, fully, meaning all 6 folders inside?

Do any of your clips have ‘spanned’ next to them?

The reason you don’t see the name of every single clip is that FCP is joining some of your spanned clips. Spanned clips happen when you have a clip that is over 4GBs in size or the clip is spanning two cards that were in the camera. When you see clips that have (spanned) next to them that means that FCP is acutally joining two or more clips and it only names it after one of them and not both. You should have all of your media, though.
