    Hi guys, I’m pretty new to C4D so bare with me ☺
    I’m doing a school assignment where I have to render a few still images of a scene I’m building.
    Still, I have a few problems during the render, the object floating in the sky, when rendered the sky is not visible, neither is the landscape and other assets.
    I’m also working with a physical sky and the sun, but the shadows are not being shown on the render, only in the viewport.
    I figure it must be something with the render settings, but I tried almost everything without any result. Please, could someone have a look what I’m doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

    I tried to review your project, but since I don’t use the Corona renderer I’m afraid I can’t be of much help with its render settings. The only thing I can offer is that you are probably on the right track checking your main render settings, as well as the render settings for the individual objects, lights and shadows.

    If I remember correctly, Brian Jones (one of the COW leaders on this forum) uses, or has used, Corona, so hopefully he will chime in.

    I do use Corona, yes, but I’m seeing standard render (and standard C4D materials) – I don’t see what’s with the file on a quick examination, the light is a spot light not pointed at EVE so no shadow there, the Sun object is an infinte light and from the Help
    “Since a Infinite light is infinite, the light has no actual origin. Thus the exact position of a Infinite light, near or far, has no effect on your scene’s objects. Only the actual direction in which the light is facing is important with this light source.”
    and the direction of a light is always along the Z axis of the light (except Omni’s) and the Sun objects Z axis is pointed up into the sky so no shadows….
    ok a bit deeper into the file, the only possible shadow is from the Physical Sky and it does show in the Enhanced OpenGL but the city in the sky has a Floor object, that’s the problem. It may look like a square in your scene but that’s just for convenience really it extends infinitely in all directions and it’s blocking your shadows. Turn it off.

    Thanks for looking at the file Brian. When I opened it up I got a warning that several plugins, including Corona, were missing, and the Render Settings listed Corona, so I just stopped there.

    @Brian Jones and @Jim Scott;

    Thank you both for looking into this! Removing the floor fixed the render problem!
    Thanks a lot!
