Some kind of lens flare?
Hey everybody?
I have a question about some kind of lens flare or how is this called. I am talking about those horizontal lines and not the standard circles…

What do you think, is this done with effects or is it already recorded that way?

This is simple.
Just use your title tool or photoshop to make some white dots, overlay them over your video and then apply a DIRECTIONAL BLUR to them. Watch your angle, I think for horizontal blur you want 90. You can adjust the length of the blur. If it is a moving shot, then you will have to keyframe to match. Pain. Such is the price of what we do…
