    Here’s a weird one.

Some of my clips in FCP7 show up in the viewer but not in the canvas. I can still hear the audio of the clips, but the actual visuals are not showing up in the canvas of SOME clips (others show up fine)

All the clips are in the same timeline. They were shot with the same camera (Canon 7D) encoded the same way (422 LT in MPEG Streamclip) and were imported and placed in the timeline in the same way.

I did some testing. Here’s what I found.

When I export to Quicktime, the clips still show up and are fine. So that’s good.

Also, when I open a new sequence, the problem clips are showing in the canvas and in the viewer. I tried exporting the clips from a new sequence and then re-importing them to my existing sequence. No dice. The audio played fine through the viewer, but no visuals in the canvas.

    I’m stumped.

Anyone know a workaround or what the heck is going on?

Copying all the clips and pasting them into a new project worked. I’ve used this solution before…. don’t know why I didn’t try it before posting.

    Thanks, though!
