Some clips are just solid green.
First, hello everyone! I’ve been lurking around here for years but never had anything worthwhile to post about. Times have changed! I may have a bit of a specific situation, so forgive me if I am a bit wordy in my first post. Just trying to attack this thing from all angles.
I’ve been without my DSLR I used to shoot video with for about 6 months now (the Canon 5D Mark II that belongs to my photographer mother) so I have bitten the bullet and tried some iPhone 4S filming with the incredible Filmic Pro video app. I have roughly 20 clips filmed, exported to my phone’s Camera Roll, and copied to my footage folder on my PC (the files are .MOV format). When importing them into Premiere (CS6), some play fine, but the majority are just solid green screen with audio. What the heck is going on?

I’ve done a number of videos just on the 4S so the format itself shouldn’t give you issues.
First is first, I would try to recopy them to your computer and see how they behave.
Are they playing without issue in Quicktime?

I’ve tried to use the Windows Import Pictures and Videos tool this time, but with the same issue. All the clips are playing back just fine on the phone as well as on the computer.

I’ve had this same problem since i updated the os for the 4s. It had worked before, but after that update and a few since all the clips from the phone import as green with audio. Oddly enough if I open them in windows media player it plays the video and no audio. The content is there, we just need premier to find it or the phone to record it in a way premier understands. It was working great the first few months I had the phone.
Any ideas? did the original poster find a solution?
