  • Software with 3d characters precreated to use in movies

    Hi guys,

I would like to do an amateur movie (kind of). however I don’t have any actors, nor money to pay them, so I would like to know if is there any software that allow us to use virtual 3D characters, with basic animations pre-created (Bewolf alike). For intances those virtual 3D human characters were filmed on green screen and all we have to do is to use simple commands to make them intereact, do specific movements, run, walk, or make them interact with real actors, etc, in a specific scenario (adding a image on the background), without having to create those virtual characters from scratch with Cinema 3D or a software alike.
We could then, put some sounds and add the dialogs.

I saw once a movie made using the characters from the X-Box game Hallo. However if we wanted to put different costumes, do some close ups, add different scenarios, etc, it would be impossible.

Thank you very much for your help,

    Filipe

I though about using The Sims computer Game, but is rather limited and you can’t had real actors, or real scenarios. And there is the Copyright ishues

Motion Builder is probably the closest thing to what you’re looking for but it’s quite expensive. Poser might get you part way there as well. But as far as I know there is nothing that’s exactly like what you want (or near as simple).

First of All thank you 🙂

Which one do you think is more intuitive and less complex to learn (I don’t know nothing of 3D)? Poser or Motion Bulder? Are the Human Models precreated in poser? like available in a sort of libary?

    Thank You,

    Filipe

By the way, I saw a software called Poser Figure Art. However I don’t think it is possible to animate with motion the characters that it offer, do you know such software? Is based on Poser. Can we export the characters of Figure Art to Poser pro?

    Thank you again,

    Filipe

Poser is the best one for figure creation. It comes with quite a few models that can be modified in many ways, and you can buy additional characters, clothes, props, etc. for it.

Motion Builder is strictly an animation package, and it’s better at that than Poser.

Poser is probably the more intuitive program, although I wouldn’t say that either is particularly intuitive to be honest. One thing Poser has going for it is a large user base, so it should be easier to get tutorials and help.

I’m not familiar with Figure Art — sorry.
