soften hdv-sd footage
footage from a z1 hdv converted to SD in fcp and then exported in compressor for dvdsp as mpeg2 6.5 vbr. the footage looks very sharp and almost harsh on the eyes. Is there a way of softening the footage slighlty without making it too blurry. Silly question I suppose trying to make crisp footage look not so crisp. Is it a colour balance issue?
