everyone’s seen it anyway but well, all the import analysis in FCP is editable, Motion is a ground up rewrite, motion is now speaking directly to FCP components like text generators, transitions etc via a group publishing mechanism, colour is reborn as well…
this could all be deadly, deadly serious business on apple’s part no?
publishing as terminology tickles me in my special place. they-all-speak-a-da-same-language?

I’ll bet those pics turned things around for a lot of doubters. Motion looks like it retains a fair amount of its interface but with major improvements, as best as I can tell.
Sure FCPX is still a 1.0 app. Motion looks like it’s maturing in good ways though. Unlike FCP which came from Macromedia back in the pre OSX days, Motion has been Apple’s from the get go as far as I know. I think the other apps are getting the serious Apple GUI and under the hood treatment. Motion can give some people confidence that even though they’ll be a few growing pains . . . it will grow. Apple is serious. Like a patient who has just undergone major surgery, it might hurt for a bit but it’ll be better and healthier than it ever was before.

Apart from the changes to the look of the GUI, this looks like a sensible incremental interface. If they’ve improved the camera I might actually use it!
