    Sorry if I’m being a dolt here but kinda dumbfounded as to how you actually render a movie to an avi or mov.

    I’m new to the program but I spent the last 4 days in Cinema 4D boot camp. I just watched this long tutorial on configuring render settings which I did for SD video and then … nothing. What the heck do I do? The Quickstart manual doesn’t even say anything about it!

    My settings are ready. How do I actually get my avi started? Help!!!

    UPDATE: heh, I just figured it out.

    After you’ve set your render settings, with the format for the render, and a place for it to be saved, press the Render in Picture Viewer button.

    dont worry, you’re definitely not the only one that had this confusion (myself included)

    what i wonder is how come you need to see the render as it’s happening. why isnt there just a “render” without “to picture viewer”?
