Hi I’m pretty new to InDesign so please forgive me if i’m not sure of the correct terminology. Up until recently when I was doing some basic layout design and had to space boxes next to each other I would option drag one out and these green lines would appear to help place them equidistantly. This was a great feature, though somehow i’ve managed to turn it off.

I have no idea what this feature was called or how enable it again so my searches haven’t turned up anything.

Does anyone know how to turn this feature back on?

    Thanks!

    Eric,

The feature is called Smart Guides, and found under View > Grids & Guides… Or, it can be toggled on/off using Cmd/Ctrl+U, (which is probably how you inadvertently turned it off).
