Posted by Martin Phillips on June 21, 2009 at 10:35 amHi, when I take a snap shot in Vegas 7 it looks fine, but when I apply pan and crop to add a little movement the edges are very jaggard.

June 21, 2009 at 1:20 pmThe snapshot you take from Vegas
is a low resolution image….Panning and such
is not gonna often yield a pleasing result.Steve Rhoden

June 21, 2009 at 9:14 pmHi Steve,
Is there a better way? i am trying to create an effect that i used alot in Avid. Have a still at the end of a clip, add a white hard flash to simulate the camera flash and have the sill image b&w and stightly twisting.

June 22, 2009 at 2:52 amThat shouldn’t be a problem. But just remember Vegas takes a snapshot of the preview window, not the video. So you must set the preview to “Best>Full” to get a full res snapshot. There are scripts that do this if you need it a lot.
