  • Smoother pan and zoom? – Everything I’d like to learn summed up in a 10 second clip

This is my first post here so sorry if I break any rules.

    Here’s the clip I’m talking about (1:40): https://youtu.be/FpVGTigH4Rs?t=1m40s

The effects (if that’s the right word) used are:

    1. A zoom
    2. Text and image overlay with transition
    3. Swish pan transition

I can recreate simple versions of each of these effects, but what I’m really looking for is that natural, bouncy feel that each of them have. The zoom doesn’t just enlarge the video it swoops in and swings back a little, the image appears the same way and it gives it a more organic feel. Any help achieving those results would be much appreciated!

Adobe After Effects is much better for such effects. In Sony Vegas you have to create keyframes manually.
There is a helper tool (tweener), but it’s not free…
