  • Smoothcam effect – can you repeat this effect on the same clip more than once?

Can you use the smoothcam effect on a single clip more than once to make it more smooth, or will it not change the clip the second time?

Also, does it take away from the quality or sharpness of the clip? My copied clip I’ve used smoothcam on looks more blurry than the original.

To work, smoothcam must zoom into the image to remove bumps and other movement. This will soften the image. The worse the movement the more it has to zoom.

If you want to try using smoothcam twice, make a quicktime of the first effort, drop it into the timeline and apply smoothcam again.

Smoothcam is ‘non-destructive’, meaning it doesn’t actually modify the original media. If you’re not happy with the result, you can simply crank up the smoothing & re-run it.
