SmoothCam analyzes and then quits
I have a Dodeca MacPro with FCS 2 installed. I have attempted to use the smoothcam filter and the computer appears to analyze the file and even starts creating that analyzed file and then stops and deletes the file. I have reset preferences and even reinstalled the whole OS. I am quite familiar with FCP so I have done all the basic stuff I can think of and even the more advanced stuff. My files are in DV format captured right into FCP. PLEASE HELP!!!

Did you try making a qt file of just the shot (plus handles). FCS2 tries to do the whole file, not just the shot as edited. FCS3 has fixed this.

Of course I have tried this but I have never needed to in the past. I have successfully analyzed footage over periods of up to 30 hours without any issues or crashes. Update: When trying this with FCP 7 on this machine – it works.
