    Sorry if this sounds like one of my earlier posts reheated in a microwave. But I just wanted to make sure I have done everything I can to give a smooth preview. Which is preview windows quality settings set to Draft quarter. Zoom out on the timeline and thats about it really. It’s good to know about the prerender function but I was hoping the whole video would play smooth. I have been checking the cpu and ram and neither seem to be maxing out now that I have increased the ram to 4gig.

    I edit with my preview window set to Preview/Auto but, if I need to see a good preview of it, I always do a prerender.
    It doesn’t take that long and it helps me to maintain my sanity knowing that the final video looks as good as it can be.

    Yeah I must admit I think prerender is my best option.
