  Smooth painting in AE

  In AE CS5 using the paint brush tool, is there any way to get Illustrator type brush functionality for drawing lines with auto smoothing?

  If not is there a way to get illustrator paths into AE as brush stroke paths (instead of masks or animation paths)? I know I could paste in AE as masks and then copy the mask path to the brush path but I have hundreds of lines to deal with.
