  • Smooth gradual morph of individual TP particles

I’m trying to have my Thinking Particles morph into another shape, not in unison, but in relationship to their individual ages…

I have a morph tag on my particle shape, animating across 60 frames…..but alas all particles morph at the same time.

I tried creating two groups (lets say Group A, and Group B) each with different shapes, and having Group A change to Group B when triggered by an event……but this is an abrupt change in shape…I’m trying to have a nice smooth morph from one particle to another shape.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Dean

you can delay the animation of the original object with a Step effector by using the Time Offset but I don’t know if that will apply to a Morph tag (in my testing it does not) but if you could turn your deform into a PLA animation (depending on what your morph is doing) that can be delayed with the Step effector.
