    Hello
I have a 72 minute video tape where the tripod head was a little loose so every movement, pan and tilt seems to float a bit on the screen . I’ve applied the smooth cam filter which estimated it would take 25 hours to analyze. While it is being analyzed does the footage look blurry because it needs to be rendered? (I’m praying) How long does it take to render after it is analyzed?

    Thank you, Joanie

    Joanie,

Test a short section so you can perfect your settings, then let the whole thing cook over the weekend. Smoothcam can take a long, long time, and it can be soft if over done, so do whatever you can to keep from having to do a redo.

It’s very important to understand that one of the things smoothcam does is to blow up the footage. This is necessary to eliminate the black boarders that would otherwise be created by stabilizing. That’s going to make your footage a little bit soft.
