Here’s the deal… It’s only a small problem, but it has happened numerous times before.
I had a comp all set up, nicely. Then, as ONE of the many examples, I overlay a blue solid over the whole thing, same size as the comp. Looks fine. Then, when I render, there’s still one line of pixels at the bottom of the rendered frame that does not have the blue solid over it, making it completeby bright, so that it sticks out… So what’s the problem? Why is AE not getting that last line of pixels right?

I’ve never seen this personally…. Have you tried making your solid bigger than the comp ???

Also, what are your render settings ??? Are you rendering fields, full quality etc…

Presumably you are somehow messing up sub-pixel placement of the layers in question. This would indeed make entire lines disappear if you are rendering with fields. So I’d check if the numerical values really correspond to what you intend to do. The only other thing I can think of is that the CoDec you are using for output somehow produces faulty results.

OK. Fields… I’ll check if they’re on or not, but I’m pretty sure they aren’t. On the specific example I just used, the comp is 864×480 square pixels as well as the solid, and the solid is perfectly centered, and no 3D on or anything. Output renges from a JPEG frame to a Quicktime Animation. I’ll also try making the solid bigger than the comp.

    Alright! Thanks guys.
