Small finder window when invoking import command
I’ve never had or heard of this problem before, but here goes.
I’m working on a brand new Mac Pro running FCP 7.0.3 over OSX 10.8.2.
Whenever I invoke the Import command, for instance to import a bunch of graphic into the Graphics bin, FCP opens a finder window (Choose a File: Final Cut Pro) and for some reason the Name column is always truncated, so I basically can’t read the names of the files. If I widen the column, the change isn’t persistent, so I have to resize the Name column constantly.
Finder windows work as expected when opened from Finder.

Try just using list view vs. column view. Unless you’re referring to the columns in list view, but I think youi’re referring to column view. I have the same column view issue with Mountain Lion.
