    Hello

I know there are some formats that need to be transcoded before making the dvd. I have exported a movie from premiere that is “.m2v” and “.wav”. When i make the dvd it says is transcoding… does that mean that is taking the video I exported (which already is a dvd format) and recompressing it again?. or it is just a creation information i shouln`t pay attention?

    thank you!

It depends on your transcode settings. It may be transcoding the audio file to Dolby, if that’s what you have set as the default. It’s also possible to tell Encore to transcode your M2V file, but you’d have to explicitly do this. Check the Transcode Status and Transcode Settings columns in the project window to see what Encore thinks it should be doing with the files.
