  Sluggish Waveform Generation during Playback

  Hi all,

  I have FCP X 10.4.6.

  I noticed during playback, when I zoom in and out, audio waveforms do not expand and contract in real time.

  When you zoom in for instance, blank sections of the waveform appear, so you have to hit the space bar to stop, wait for them to generate, then at that point you can see where you want to go and make your edit. Same thing happens when you zoom out during playback. Massive sections of the waveform disappear, so you become lost.

  I’ve never noticed this before, and it does not happen in Premiere.
