Just want to make this a new topic, cause this is important.

In our office we have intels, quads, and dual 2×2 g5’s. Our quads tend to slow down after a couple of hours of editing, and moving around in the timeline gets unbearable slow.

This problem has been haunting our facilities for about a year, and our editors have been going insane having to deal with these slowdowns.

Yesterday, I changed our deckink extreme card with a an Aja Kona LHe.

NO slowdowns after doing the “upgrade”. Absolutely no sign of the slowdowns. Decklink has to fix this major bug.

Sounds like Decklink software wasn’t properly letting go of RAM over time and bogged things down
