    Hi,
I wonder if anyone out there can help me with a persistent problem I’m having running Vegas 9. I recently had a half decent editing computer built ( quad Intel / 8 gig ram/ windows 7 64 bit/ more than capable graphics card) I trilled Vegas 9 and was extremely unimpressed – it was slow, unresponsive and seemed to fall over rather easily. I was advised to give premier a whirl but as I already know and love my old Vegas 6 I wanted to stick with it and find a solution. I eventually purchased Vegas 9 and immediately found it to be as good as useless on my new PC. Fearing I may have a OS issue I had Windows 7 professionally re- installed – but the Vegas is still unworkably slow. Relatively simple edits take an age to render and the most lightly effected video chugs when played direct from the timeline – unlike my old Vegas 6 on a 5 year old single core machine which although has its limitations runs like a peach. A friend of mine who knows a good bit about computers is certain its a compatibility issue between Windows 7 and Vegas 9 – although Im certainly no expert (as I’m sure you can tell ) I find it hard to believe that getting Windows XP on my new machine is the way forward.
    Any ideas????
    Thanks, Dan

    Hi Dan.

This is just a guess as I am hoping to help.

Can you try the Vegas 9.0e x32? I am running x32 on Vista x64 (because Sony Noise Reduction 2.0 is only x32) and it seems to run well.
