  slow renders

  I have a Dual 2.5 GHz PowerPC G5 with 1.5 GB DDR SDRAM. I’m running OS 10.4.6. I have a colleague with the exact same machine EXCEPT HE HAS 4 GB OF RAM. When we render the same AE Comp, his machine renders it in 11 minutes, mine in 40 minutes. Is it just the RAM?

  Are there some settings I can check/change to speed up my render times before I invest in more RAM?
